Welcome to Amber
. .

.

.

Amber helps unemployed, homeless young people gain the confidence, self esteem and skills they need to enter employment, college and their own accommodation.

Our residential centres in Devon and Wiltshire provide the space, time, guidance and support young people on the edge of society need to prepare for independent living.

Our Vision-

To establish other Amber sites around the country to help a larger number of disadvantaged unemployed young people rebuild their lives and move from being socially excluded to being socially included within society.

Programmes and Activities-

A residential, comprehensive programme of activities and training that includes art and craft, music, drama, sport, cooking and accredited courses in literacy and numeracy, tenancy related issues and action centred leadership. Then there are projects such writing a poetry book, sailing across the channel with The Rona Sailing Trust and being selected for the Tall Ships Race, doing projects for British Waterways on Amber's canal boat, the list is endless. Our aim is to offer as many opportunities as possible that will help young people identify new abilities and areas of interest as well as broadening their life experience.
